Lagniappe Vineyard

 Lagniappe: The Highest Gift

On a wine tasting trip to Paso Robles Omid fell in love with the beauty of the rolling hills and vineyards of Paso Robles and decided to look for a vineyard to buy.

Accidentally he found Christian Lazzo vineyard and winery which had come up for sale.

This vineyard had 40 year old head trained zinfandel, petite sirah and Barbera which were planted by Richard Seurat the preeminent grape grower of Paso Robles. Unfortunately due to extensive red blotch infection the vines could not be saved. In 2018 he replanted the vineyard with his favorite 5 red varietals in 6x4 spacing.

Omid believes in organic farming and non- interventionist approach to wine making and the Lagniappe wines reflect this philosophy.
